Marek Saganowski, the new coach of Zagłębie, who signed a contract until the end of June 2025 with an option to extend it for a year, replacing former Dynamo coach Aleksander Hatskevich, commented on his appointment.
- "I am aware of the hard work that awaits me at Zaglemba," said the new coach of the Sosnowiec team immediately after signing the contract, "I know the current situation, I have a plan and I know what I want to convey to the players. I believe that the fans will be satisfied with the team I will create.
We would like to add that he started his coaching career at Legia U-19 Warsaw as an assistant to Aleksander Vukovic from April 2019 to November 2020. He led the first team twice: in the match against Lechia (3-1) in the absence of the suspended Vukovic and in the Polish Super Cup against Krakow (4-5 in a penalty shootout), when Czesław Michniowicz, in whose staff he was also an assistant, left the capital's club.
Saganowski has also coached Motor Lublin, Pogon Siedlce, Wisła Płock and amateur side Naftowik.
