Former Dynamo and Ukrainian national team defender Vladyslav Vashchuk, who has now defended his country, shared his opinion on the statement by Oleksandr Zinchenko, after which he was criticised by Serge Aurier.
Vladislav Vashchuk- Vlad, what can you say about Zinchenko's statement - is it populism or does he really think so and can go to the front?
- I know for sure that Sasha wholeheartedly supports us, the military and Ukrainian refugees. I have approached him and he has never refused, he has solved the issue of our medical company, for which I am very grateful. Zinchenko answered me immediately: "No problem, Vlad. Always come back".
As for his statement, Zinchenko said what was in his heart, what he thought. He is fully with Ukraine in his thoughts and I am sure that his statement is not populism, but let him help better with his game and volunteering. Not everyone can do this. Sashko is our Cossack who wants Ukraine to win and does everything for it.
- What do you think of Aurier's criticism of Zinchenko?
- You don't need to pay attention to Aurier. This is a common provocation. Let Aurier stay out of our business and not tell us what to do. We'll figure it out ourselves! Or better yet, as a man of means, let him help the defence of Ukraine financially, it is in their, the rich people of Europe, interests. What Sanya is doing is worth a lot. I respect and honour him.
