Gary Neville: "MU rely on luck and individual moments, it's very easy to play against them"

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has criticised the team's performance in the 32nd round of the English Championship match against Liverpool (2-2).

"Some of the things the players are doing on the pitch, you don't even see at school level. They keep the structure in defence, but the centre of the pitch suddenly becomes completely empty. Players press alone, without the help of their partners. During the throw-in, there are players in front, but the ball is thrown back to the back four.

All the things that you consider to be the simplest things in football, Manchester United do very poorly. They are very easy to play against. "Liverpool had 15 shots on goal in the first half. MU just relied on individual chances, luck, goalkeeper saves and defenders blocking. That's what we saw in the match against Liverpool," Neville was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
