Fiorentina's management continues to search for a successor to head coach Vincenzo Italiano, whose contract expires in June 2024.
According to Football Italia, the Florentines have turned to Alberto Gilardino, who is showing promising results with Genoa. However, the Griffins' management plans to meet with their head coach to discuss a possible extension of his contract. The club is ready to offer a new deal until 2026.
It will be recalled that Gilardino has been in charge of Genoa since December 2022, during which time the team returned to Serie A and managed to secure a place in the middle of the Serie A standings.
