Liverpool fans prepare a protest during the match against Atalanta

Liverpool fans will hold a protest during the Europa League quarter-final match against Atalanta, The Mirror reports.

A group of supporters called Spy Cop 1906 said they would refrain from using traditional flags and banners in their section. This decision was a response to Liverpool's announcement of a two per cent increase in season ticket prices for the 2024/25 season.

The club's decision to raise season ticket prices, as well as the lack of consultation with fans on this issue, caused dissatisfaction among fans. In their opinion, such a policy will lead to fewer loyal fans being able to regularly attend the team's home games.

Liverpool explained its decision to raise season ticket prices by the 40% increase in the cost of maintaining its home stadium over the past 6 years.
