Former Dynamo Kyiv striker Ivan Shariy shared his impressions of his former team's performance in the match of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian championship with Cherkasy LNZ (1:1), and also assessed the prospects of the Bilo-Syni in the fight for the championship title.

Ivan Shariy

- The game demonstrated by Dynamo Kyiv in the match with LNZ is clearly not a championship game. It does not fit this definition in any way. It is even hard for me to find words. I will only say that this is not the Dynamo Kyiv that we are used to seeing.

Whether the Dynamo players thought that after a big 5-1 victory over Vorskla they would easily defeat Cherkasy, or something else - I do not know. However, I do not rule out that there was an underestimation of the opponent.

But the way the Kyiv team looked in the duel with LNZ, you can not play! And it's not about the mistake made by goalkeeper Nescheret - who among his colleagues can't be wrong? It's about something else. The score became 1:1 after that, and when we still have almost 60 minutes to play, at least we would have created something at the other team's goal, scored a goal! And so it turns out that with a draw Dynamo players were able to create only a half-moment.

It is very sad about the game Dynamo showed. One should respect any opponent. After all, the guys from Cherkasy can also play football. They adjusted themselves and achieved a draw.

- Is the four-point gap between Dynamo and Shakhtar a significant indicator a month and a half before the finish?

- I think it is almost significant. If we take into account the performance Dynamo showed in the already mentioned match with LNZ, it is quite possible that Shakhtar can calm down the rival in a face-to-face encounter. That will be the end of the intrigue.

However, both our giants have nine games left to play, so with a four-point advantage, everything is still possible. For example, the Pitmen's opponents in the next round will be the same Vorskla - and this team can lose to anyone, while they can beat the representatives of the leading group. I assume that the game between Vorskla and Shakhtar will be interesting.
