Ruslan Rotan, head coach of Oleksandriya, summarised the results of his team's match against Dynamo Kyiv (0:1) in the 24th round of the Ukrainian championship.
- Can we say that your team today did not take the points it could have taken?
- Yes, indeed. It's a pity that matches sometimes turn out like this. Today everything was in our favour.
But we need to work. Skill is skill. The problem was the way the guys made decisions. The team goes backwards. We always need to work on that. And the mistakes... There is no football without mistakes. We need to close this match and look to the future, where even more important games are waiting for us. Therefore, we need to concentrate on these matches.
As for today's game, we can only congratulate Dynamo on the victory. Everything could have turned out much better for us, but mistakes sometimes lead to offensive defeats.
- What do you attribute the mistakes in the defensive centre to?
- Excitement. The guys were very worried. But the main thing is not to blame them now. You see, there are mistakes in every match. But we try to correct these mistakes with the help of analysis.
- How much did you miss Mykhailenko, who could not play because Dynamo own the rights to him?
- Mykhailenko was really missing today, he is a key player for us. When he is on the pitch - we have a structure, we work better with the ball, we understand each other better.
- "Alexandria" can be in the zone of transition matches. Do you have such fears?
- Listen, we have matches ahead of us. Let's play them, and then we'll see. The most important thing is to have character. And the most important match is the closest one. This game has passed, we didn't get any points. Now we need to concentrate on the next match, and then we will see.
- Do you have any questions to the refereeing both in the episode with the goal and in general?
- No. Today the referee, in principle, judged very confidently. I can`t even say that there was something wrong. The penalty was probably justified. There are no questions about the refereeing today.
