The head coach of the U-17 youth national team Yurii Moroz summed up the results of the past training camp.
The youth national team of Ukraine (players not older than 2007), which is preparing for the final part of Euro 2024 (U-17), has completed a training camp, during which it played two sparring matches against Cyprus (2: 0, 1: 2).
The head coach of the blue and yellows Yuriy Moroz shared the results of his work with the UAF official website:
- "At the last training camp, in addition to the guys who were called up earlier, the coaching staff also used the nearest reserve. And I can say that the matches against Cyprus, especially the first match, showed that these players have potential. Therefore, the competition in the team is growing, and no one has a place in the squad for the European Championships.
As for the second game, we had some personnel problems, so we could not rotate during the match, but even despite the negative result, the guys tried hard and were not inferior to the opponent.
I was satisfied with the training camp itself, it was useful for both the players and the coaching staff. The players began to understand our requirements, the principles of the game, and this is good on the eve of the Euro.
