Ukrainian coach Petro Kushlyk shared his impressions of the last matches of Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian championship ("Alexandria" - Dynamo - 0:1, "Vorskla" - Shakhtar - 0:1).
"For both of our most titled clubs, away matches were by no means easy walks. Take at least the difficult conditions that the participants of the match between Oleksandriya and Dynamo had to face. The match was repeatedly interrupted due to aerial alarms and lasted a total of four and a half (!) hours. It is clear that it was not easy for the teams to return to the game in such a mode.
And yet the opponents should be given credit for the desire to fight, to create chances. Oleksandriyans faced Dynamo with dignity, and the whole second half was played in the majority. But the class advantage of Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team over the less experienced Oleksandriya, as well as the desire, despite the numerical minority, to achieve a positive result, still had an impact. In one of the attacks Brazhko struck an accurate shot under the crossbar, and this goal was the only one.
The next day, Vorskla and Shakhtar met in Poltava, which promised the local fans an interesting spectacle. And so it turned out to be. It was noticeable that the hosts, in the absence of Sklyar and Chesnakov, found it more difficult to oppose the champion, but we cannot reproach Serhiy Dolganskiy's good-looking team for their lack of desire and desire to fight against a strong opponent. Even losing the lead after Sikan's goal, the Poltava team still tried to change it. Moreover, the removal of Zubkov, who behaved ungentlemanly in a clash with Vorskla goalkeeper Isenko, should have only favoured the hosts. However, Shakhtar brought the match to a winning end, continuing to hold the top spot in the table.
I think that the duel between the Pitmen and Dynamo three rounds before the finish will be a milestone in the championship clash," UA-Football quoted Kushlyk as saying.
