Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Vladyslav Kabayev commented on his team's 3-1 victory over Minai in the matchday 16 of the Ukrainian championship.
- Dynamo won, but in the second half they had some problems, especially after conceding a goal. Why did it happen?
- The question is psychology. When the game is successful in the first half, you don't realise many chances, you come out in the second half and, no matter how much you want to, it relaxes you a bit. Although the coach and I discussed this, that we need to score as many chances as possible.
But such an advantage relaxes you, and when you come out after the break and immediately concede, it hits your psychology, we've already had such matches. You start to get nervous. The opponent has one or two chances, and then there's danger. In short, the second half was a bit difficult. But it's okay, the main thing is the victory. Any victory is worth three points, so we are happy with this victory and are moving on.
- The match started from the second minute, an atypical story...
- In fact, this minute did not make a significant difference. But I think we played into our hands because, firstly, we played at home, and secondly, the weather was better, because it was snowing in Uzhhorod then, and the pitch was in a worse condition.
- Today there were few fans in the stands compared to previous matches. Was it noticeable?
- Yes, it was noticeable. But you can understand why there were few fans, because it was raining all night and day today. We are grateful to the fans who come and support us.
- Is the fight for the championship still going on?
- Nothing has changed. We are moving step by step. The next game against Polissia promises to be very interesting. So we invite the fans. We are moving forward, we have a goal to achieve.
- Today you played as an attacking midfielder. Was it easy for you?
- I've already played in this position at Zorya under Skrypnyk, and at the training camp Oleksandr Shovkovskyi played me in this position. We had a dialogue with him at the training camp, and I said that I was ready to play there. Over the past two or three weeks, I have been playing in this position, we had a lot of wing-backs. Yesterday I said I wanted to try it. My replacement after the first half was planned. Yes, there are different requirements, but I am interested in trying myself in different positions. If the coach saw me there, it's great.
