Bayern Munich is close to appointing French specialist Zinedine Zidane as the team's new head coach.
According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Bayern is one step away from fully agreeing on a deal with Zidane. Previously, the coach has already agreed to take over the Munich club and even asked for urgent reinforcement of the team, especially the defensive line.
Zidane was the main candidate for the Bayern coaching position after the German giants' management decided to dismiss Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season.
Earlier, it was reported that Julian Nagelsmann, who was also among the favourites for the Bayern head coaching job, continued his cooperation with the German national team.
