"Dnipro-1" has no plans to change its dislocation yet because of constant missile strikes on the Dnipro River

Vyacheslav Fridman, the commercial director of Dnipro-1, commented on Friday's Rashist attack on Dnipro and spoke about the club's plans in connection with the increased shelling of the city. At the moment the team is in Kyiv, where it stayed after the match of the 24th round of Ukraine with Kharkiv Metalist 1925.

- After the game with Kharkiv, the players and coaching staff of the team asked to stay in the capital, so they went along with it. After all, taking into account that in the next round Dnipro-1 will have an away game with Veres, there was no sense to go to Dnipro to drive back and forth from Kyiv and to Kyiv, spending money and time on travelling.

Some of the players and the coaching staff have their own homes and families in Kyiv, and some of them were rented hotel rooms by the club. And given the unstable security situation, it was just appropriate to spend a certain number of days in the capital. In Dnipro, however, the night from Thursday to Friday and the morning shelling was quite bad. The city heard nine powerful explosions.

- Did you have any thoughts about changing the place of permanent location of the club due to the situation in Dnipro? Say, move to Uzhgorod, where Dnipro-1 has been based before?

- We do not know how and what will happen in the future. Why only we are asked this question, although it is also dangerous in Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region, and in Alexandria, which is 150 kilometres away, too. Yes, it is an unpleasant situation when Dnipro has been in danger for the last two months and has become like a frontline city. However, no matter how unpleasant this situation is, the locals do not leave the city. When Dnipro is full of people, and suddenly a team has left the city - it is, you must agree, kind of silly.
