Former England defender: "Chelsea expected a lot from Mudryk, but he didn't live up to those expectations"

In January 2023, midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk moved from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea London. He became the most expensive transfer in the history of Ukrainian football, but has not yet been able to become one of the Blues' leaders.

The Ukrainian winger alternates between bright performances and mediocre ones, which is why he receives a lot of criticism. An additional pressure factor is undoubtedly the high price tag for the player.

Former Liverpool and England defender Glen Johnson gave his assessment of Mykhailo Mudryk's performance. He is rather sceptical about the Ukrainian's future at Chelsea.

"A lot was expected of Mudryk at Chelsea, but he didn't live up to those expectations. I would like to think that he has pulled himself together and overcome the setbacks, but in reality, this is not the case. He still has a chance to prove himself only because Londoners are having a lot of difficulties now, but if you can't prove yourself in a Chelsea like this, then you have no business being in the Blues when they get fit," Johnson said.

It is worth noting that after joining Chelsea, Mykhailo Mudryk played 51 matches for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists.

Та там, в цьому Челсі, з десяток нових гравців, яких купили за величезні кошти і вони також не виправдали ці очікування... а ви тут Мудрика звинувачуєте.
