This summer, UEFA is about to expire its agreement with Russia's Match TV to broadcast European Cups. Instead of finally breaking off cooperation with a country that kills Ukrainians every day, the organisation resorted to manipulation to extend the contracts.
Local media reports that from next season, Russians will continue to watch Champions League matches, but Okko Sport will become the broadcaster. It was impossible to sell the rights directly due to sanctions, so they used a "pad" registered in Kazakhstan.
Without any tenders, UEFA gave the broadcasting rights to Quest Media, which delegates the authority to Okko. It is associated with former top managers of the Russian Premier League (RPL) and one of the bookmakers. UEFA carried out all these frauds in order to receive 25 million euros from the Russians (the value of the broadcast contract).
