Head of the Ministry of Sport of Ukraine - on armour for footballers: "The task is to preserve the sport"

Acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvei Bedny commented on the situation with the booking of footballers.

"If teams like Dynamo, Shakhtar and others cease to exist, we will not catch up for decades. We have the task of preserving sport, football in particular. If we take the absolute value, the number of booked players is a small part. In addition, not all clubs are recognised as critical enterprises, given the Cabinet decision.

Moreover, part of the footballers are men under 25, so they are not a mobilisation resource at all right now. We can not say that from the booking of part of the players will worsen the mobilisation situation in Ukraine", - quotes Bednyy portal "Champion".

We shall remind you that the Ministry of Sport has published a list of sports organisations that have received the status of critically important. The list includes such football clubs as Dynamo, Shakhtar, Dnipro-1, Kryvbas and Obolon.
