As the game entered its final stages, both teams made additional substitutions in an attempt to change the course of the match. However, Crystal Palace had the last word, and on 89 minutes an own goal by T. Mitchell from West Ham brought victory to the hosts. Overall, the match was exciting and interesting for the fans at Selhurst Park: Crystal Palace showed their skills in attack and won a deserved victory over West Ham.
