On Monday, 22 April, one of the 'yellow' websites reported that the former Dynamo Kyiv coach Oleksandr Hatskevich was close to becoming the head coach of the Lithuanian club Kauno Zalgiris. The Belarusian specialist commented on these rumours.

- Kauno Žalgiris? You see, this is the first time I've heard you say that.
- So you're not going to Lithuania and it's just a rumour?
- There is nothing to talk about yet. I still need to sort things out here (in Poland - author 's note). And then I will think further.
- Do you mean to sort out the financial issues, the fact that Zaglemba hasn't paid you?
- No, it's just image issues that need to be resolved.
- Do you have any offers for further employment?
- There are options, but in my case, I don't want to rush into anything - I need to think it through.
- To avoid what happened at Zaglemba?
- It was not the football component, but a slightly different moment that influenced everything.
- Do you have any offers from the UPL?
- The championships are going on, the teams are playing. Let everyone finish, and then we'll see.
- But still, do people from Ukraine are interested in you?
- There will be options from the UPL. I hope so (laughs). Many teams are now at crucial moments - some are fighting for medals, some are fighting to stay in the league, and some are feeling quite calm in the middle of the standings. So let the championship end and then it will be clear, and there is no need to spread rumours at the finish line. For now, I have more important things to do.
