UEFA's National Competitions Committee has voted in favour of having 26 players in the national teams' European Championship entries.
According to Yahoo Sports, UEFA has voted in favour of having 26 players in the national teams' bids for Euro 2024. Thus, the organisation listened to the request of coaches, who asked the officials to change the rule because of the large number of injuries to players.
Interestingly, the vast majority (including the Ukrainian national team) of Euro participants were in favour of approving such a rule. However, France and Germany were against it.
Recall, during the coronavirus pandemic, the bids were expanded to 26 people, but then again returned to 23 players.
