Next Saturday, 27 April, Dynamo will play a match of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship. Our team will play away to Dnipro-1.
Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's men had one day off after the last game, which took place on Sunday in Kyiv against Polissia. And on Tuesday, they traditionally gathered at the country club base in Koncha Zaspa to prepare for the upcoming match. "The White and Blues work in a one-off training regime, usually starting in the gym.
Tuesday's session was no exception and also started with stretching in the fitness room. The Dynamo team got to work in a good mood. Under the guidance of physical training coaches Alexander Vasiliev and Vitaly Kulyba, the players performed exercises for flexibility, mobility and joint mobility using fitness mats, and then, divided into groups, took turns doing tasks at each of the eight stations using different equipment: rubber bands, weights, dumbbells, barbells and other loads. Thus, all the boys stretched and activated all types of muscles before going out on the football field.
Before starting to work outside, everyone congratulated the team's recent birthday celebrants - team administrator Dmitry Snitkin, who celebrated his birthday on 21 April, and massage therapist Andrey Sobchenko, who was born on 22 April. To the applause of the entire team, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi presented them with personalised T-shirts. The head coach then addressed the team and outlined the tasks and goals for today's training session. It was a pleasant surprise for Dynamo's players to see their former coach Mircea Lucescu, who also said a few warm words to the players and was happy to talk to the coaches, administrators, medical staff and club employees.
The training session itself was somewhat lightweight, with an emphasis on game drills and ball handling, and lasted about two hours. All the players took part in it, and fortunately, there are no injured players in the team at the moment. It should be noted that Naveen Malysh is also already training in the general group. Volodymyr Brazhko was still working with some restrictions today, but tomorrow he will be fully involved in training with everyone else and will gradually prepare for the match against Dnipro-1.
At first, the players continued their warm-up on the green lawn, doing various bends and stretching. Then, with jokes and positive emotions, they performed interesting, non-standard reaction tasks, such as acceleration from the prone position, etc. It was obvious that everyone was training with pleasure and excitement.
After that, it was time for game exercises, which were the main part of the training. To add to the good mood, the coaching staff suggested that the players hold a mini-tournament. Divided into four groups and wearing different coloured bibs, the Dynamo players played against four small goals at the same time, with the coaches giving them different tasks regarding the allowed number of touches of the ball and reminding them that the ball should be played and moved quickly. The successful actions of the players were accompanied by approving shouts from the coaches, encouraging the boys to try even harder.
At this time, the goalkeepers worked separately with coach Mykhailo Mykhailov. They joined the team during the next task, when they had to play on a large goal across the entire width of the field, but a little shorter in length. At the same time, the teams also played with four goals - two on each side, which added interest and a special atmosphere. In the final part of the training session, the team worked on finishing attacks and shots on goal.
It should be noted that over the next few days, Dynamo will have the same schedule as today - breakfast, training camp, medical examination and training. On Friday morning, in addition to the usual activities, the players will have a theoretical session. It will be recalled that the Dnipro-1 vs Dynamo match will take place on 27 April and kick off at 13:00.
