Georgia will apply to host the Champions League final in 2028. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced this at a government meeting.
- "I would like to announce a new mega-project - we talked about the construction of Tbilisi International Airport at the previous government meeting. Today we would like to introduce you to some important news, which in this case concerns sports. We want to build a new stadium in Tbilisi and apply to host the Champions League final in 2028," the prime minister said.
