British journalist: "I hope Chelsea will either change the coach or Mudryk will find a new club"

Tribuna.com asked British journalists and experts which of the Ukrainian legionnaires is having the best season compared to expectations. This is the answer of Zorya Londonsk journalist Andrew Todos.

"Ilya Zabarnyi is one of only three field players who has played every minute this season. I think not many people in England thought that Zabarny would adapt to the Premier League so quickly. Moreover, he will become one of the team's leaders (and an indispensable player).

"Bournemouth as a team exceeded expectations this season. And Zabarnyi, of course, has become one of the Cherries' key players. The score is 8/10.

It is always difficult to play in a team that is constantly fighting for survival. But Mykolenko has really reached a new level this season. He can definitely be considered one of the best players in the team. In the first half of the season, he claimed to be the best player for his position in the Premier League.

The team's results have deteriorated in recent months, but Mykolenko still continues to play well. I think he was also helped by Jarred Brentwhite, who plays left centre-back. Rating - 7.5/10.
Yarmolyuk, after a serious injury during last season, was promoted to the Brentford first team so quickly, and not some loan to the Championship or Ligue 1, it was unexpected. But Thomas Frank made the right decision.

Yarmolyuk still got his debut in the Premier League and played against a bunch of top teams - Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal, MU, etc. This is a very useful experience for him. I think we can expect him to start on a more regular basis from next season. I give him 7/10.

Injuries have affected Zinchenko this season. He missed a few months and lost his starting position in the team. Mikel Arteta has also slightly changed the team's style of play, where Zinchenko had a huge impact in controlling the ball and passing into the attacking third of the field. Now, the central midfielders (Jorginho and Edegor) are taking on more responsibility. When the Ukrainian plays, he shows a decent and stable performance. This increasingly confirms that he should play in midfield, not as a left-back. The rating is 6.5/10.

I think everyone expected a little more from Mudryk this season after his impressive friendlies in America. There were definitely some positive moments and strong performances, but he was unable to keep his game on a consistent level. To be honest, I attribute this to Mauricio Pochettino. The head coach often changes the starting line-ups after players' strong previous matches and does not give Mudryk constant game practice - only three times did he play the full 90 minutes.

It's also not entirely clear why Chelsea doesn't use Mudryk's strengths - his speed. He hardly ever makes passes behind defenders. I hope that Chelsea will either change the coach or Mudryk will find a new club to prove himself better there. The score is 6/10," Todos said.
