In an interview with Dynamo.kiev.ua, Dnipro-1 midfielder Bohdan Lednev shared his expectations for the match against his former team, Dynamo Kyiv, which will take place this Saturday in Dnipro as part of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship.
- Dnipro-1 has not won three matches in a row. What can you attribute this to?
- I think it was a bad run because in two of the three matches we won in the course of the game. We won 2-0 at Zorya, and we conceded a free-kick against Metalist 1925 in the last compensated minute of the game. I believe that in these three matches no one has beaten us.
- Given the current tournament situation, what is Dnipro-1's goal in the league now?
- Our task has not changed - it is to qualify for the European Cups. There are still matches ahead, including many head-to-heads, where we will try to get as many points as possible.
- How do you like Dynamo's performance in recent matches?
- The team is in good shape. In their last league match, against Polissia, they won a convincing 3-0 victory. So we are looking forward to an interesting and entertaining game.
- How did you react to the talks about the issue of moving the match with Dynamo to Kyiv?
- Not really. Especially as this issue was quickly resolved.
-How special or maybe even fundamental will the upcoming match against Dynamo be for you?
- Of course, for every player, matches against his former club are special.
