As for the prospects of the Romanian national team at Euro 2024, I am generally optimistic. However, I have always been an optimist, including when I was a footballer myself. But at the same time, we have to be realistic. We must realise that we have a difficult group. Theoretically, even the Slovak national team can be better than us.
Ukraine is a very, very good team. We have to be extremely careful, their players really play for famous clubs. There is no need to talk about the Belgian team. And there are some very good players in the Slovakian national team. It is very difficult to predict how the fight in our group will end. Theoretically, Belgium and Ukraine should come out of our group, but we also have chances, because all teams start from scratch," Rac said during the broadcast on Arena Sport.ro.
