"Salernitana have become the first Serie A team this season to fail to stay in the elite Italian division.
Having lost yesterday to Frosinone (0:3) in the 34th round of the Italian championship, Salernitana lost the theoretical chances to rise above the 18th place, and, therefore, at the end of the season will move to Serie B.
Salernitana now occupy the last, 20th place in the Serie A standings.
