The teams started the match very cheerfully, answering each other with attack on attack. And although there were no dangerous moments, it was felt how important this game was for both Dnipro-1 and Dynamo. Of course, the game was not without a lot of fouls, but the main referee Ivanov did not hurry to show yellow cards.
Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team created the first dangerous moment at the hosts' goal only on 30 minutes: after a shot from Kabaev on the left flank, Vanat took the ball in the penalty area and shot, but the defender managed to block the forward's shot. Further in our game again there were more fouls than football. For Dnipro-1 Sarapiy received a warning, and for the Bilo-Syni - Shaparenko. It seemed that the first half would end without scoring, but in the 43rd minute of the game Maksimov's wards managed to score a rather unexpected goal: Popov and Mikhavko failed to push Gutsulyak away from the ball and the striker, breaking into the penalty area, threw the ball over Buschan! 1:0!
Of course, at half-time Oleksandr Shovkovskiy had a serious talk with his charges, because even a draw did not suit our team. And, in the opening minutes of the second half, the Bilo-Syni managed to level the score: after a quick multi-pass combination near the penalty area of Dnipro-1, the hosts' defenders and Volynets did not coordinate their actions and the ball eventually bounced to Kabaev, who shot from a few metres under the crossbar - 1:1!
Having equalised, Dynamo only increased their speed, forcing their opponents to "close" on their half of the pitch. Sometimes Dnipro-1 players simply kicked the ball into touch, which once again spoke about one thing: Maksimov's team wanted to keep the draw result, which, above all, would be favourable to Dynamo's main rival in the fight for the championship - Shakhtar.
The final minutes of the game were incredible in terms of emotions: first, the referee Ivanov did not give a clear penalty for a foul on Brazhko in Dnipro-1's penalty box without even watching the video replay. And just a few seconds later the referee dismissed Tymchyk for a dangerous tackle. The Kyivians' nerves were on edge, but there was nothing to lose. And then our team showed again an incredible will to win! Vanat managed to score the second goal on 90+1 minutes, snatching such an important victory for Dynamo! 2:1!
We would like to remind you that Dynamo will play their next match in the Ukrainian Championship on Wednesday, 1 May, in Kyiv. It will be a rescheduled match of the 5th round of the UPL. The opponent of Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team will be Veres. The kick-off is at 15:30.
