The 6th round of the first league began with a match between Metalist and Kremin in the knockout group, which ended with a strong-willed 2-1 victory for Kharkiv. A few hours later, it became known that the UAF suspected that the match could have been a match-fixing. Kremen's head coach Ihor Klymovskyi commented on the situation:
"I learnt about the alleged 'contract' from the Internet when we had already travelled 100 kilometres on the club bus. If I have any complaints about my players, it is only to goalkeeper Arseniy Korkodim, who conceded two, as they say, optional goals, which affected the final result. The club's director Andriy Fil was with us. He spoke with representatives of the UAF and PFL, saying that all the necessary explanations would be provided. Moreover, he, the head coach and the goalkeeper are ready to take a lie detector test," Klymovskyi said.
It was reported earlier that on 26 April, the match of the 6th round of the First League in the "Elimination" group between Metalist and Kremin took place. The game ended with a score of 2-1 in favour of the Kharkiv club. It is quite possible that the match was a match-fixing. The UAF has already launched an official investigation.
