Myroslav Stupar: "There are no questions about Tymchyk's removal"

Former FIFA referee Miroslav Stupar gave his assessment of the refereeing in the match of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship between Dnipro-1 and Dynamo Kyiv (1-2).

- Dynamo's performance in the first half was unimpressive. "Dnipro-1 took advantage of a single chance, although Kyiv had more opportunities to score. In the second half, it was noticeable that the motivation that Dynamo now has in the fight for gold medals and the championship was passed on to the players. It was clear that Yarmolenko's second-half set-up worked immediately, because everyone rushed forward. If we had played in such a rhythm and with such a desire for two halves, the score would have been different.

After Dynamo scored the first goal, the game levelled out, but Tymchyk's sending off led to a psychological shock. Despite this, Kyiv scored the winning goal. There are no questions about Oleksandr's sending off. A backhanded tackle, an unquestionable red card. "Dnipro-1, thinking that they had one more player, went forward, but forgot that one quick counterattack could lead to a disastrous outcome, which is exactly what happened.

There is no stability in Dynamo's game, the team is young. Hutsulyak, in a seemingly hopeless episode, won the fight against two Kyiv defenders and scored.

In general, according to the refereeing, there were episodes where VAR could have been insured - in particular, when Kyiv scored the first goal. There are some questions about small episodes, but they did not affect the outcome of the match. We can say that Yuriy Ivanov played this game with confidence and experience," Stupar told 1927.kiev.ua.
