Everton and Ukraine defender Vitaliy Mykolenko may not play at Euro 2024 due to an ankle injury. This was reported by commentator Viktor Vatsko.

"Mykolenko tore his ankle ligament. Vitaliy had an MRI scan, and Everton's doctors were frightened by this situation, because they believe that he needs surgery. And surgery means missing Euro 2024. Vitaliy consulted with the surgeons, who said that they could do without surgery and that he would be able to play football in six weeks.

On Tuesday, Mykolenko will go to London to see another specialist, and after that, I think, there will be final information. If there is a six-week pause, he will have time to return for the Euros. I hope everything will be fine, because I know how much Vitaliy wants to play at the European Championships. He is irreplaceable for the Ukrainian national team. I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery and to approach the tournament in the best possible shape," Vatsko said on his Youtube show.
