Representatives of the Ukrainian Premier League clubs held a regular meeting which resulted in two important decisions, the TaToTake telegram channel has reported.
First, the Super Cup of Ukraine -2024 will be cancelled. The argument, according to the source, is simple: "an exhibition game with a potentially high concentration of fans by military standards is not the right time". However, it is expected that in the near future the clubs will receive personal questionnaires to approve this decision at the official level.
Secondly, at the request of Ruslan Rotan, head coach of the Ukrainian Olympic team, and a number of clubs that delegate a large number of their players to the national teams, the start of the 2024/25 season has been moved up by a week. Now the base date of the 1st round of the next Ukrainian championship is 10 August.
