After the match of the 6th round of the First League's Elimination Group between Metalist and Kremen, the UAF website reported that the chairman of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee, Andriy Davydenko, was launching an investigation into the possible influence on the outcome of the match between Kharkiv and the team from Kremenchuk. The necessary data is being collected. Kremen's head coach Ihor Klymovskyi spoke about the further course of events:
Igor Klimovsky"A few days ago, I already had to tell you that I found out about this alleged 'contract' three hours after the match from the Internet, when the team was returning home on the club bus. After the game, I only had complaints about goalkeeper Arseniy Korkodim, who conceded two easy goals.
To put this story to rest, on the initiative of FC Kremin's director Andriy Fil, I, Korkodym and the club's manager himself were tested with a lie detector. Fil and I did it last Monday in Kremenchuk, and Korkodym was invited to Kyiv. In particular, I had to answer various questions for more than half an hour.
Today at the team meeting, Fil said that he had no complaints about Kremenchuk. That's good, but our team still doesn't understand what prompted representatives of the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee to suspect Kremin? Perhaps the rapid growth of betting rates? We hope that we will find out about this based on the results of the inspection, which are promised to be made public on 7 May," Klymovskyi said.
As a reminder, Metalist vs Kremin ended with a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the Kharkiv team.
