France defender Lucas Hernandez will miss the European Championships due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, The Athletic reports.
The 28-year-old was forced to leave the field early in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 against Borussia Dortmund (0-1). On Thursday, PSG announced disappointing findings after the player underwent an MRI scan.
Hernandez has played 37 matches for the French national team since his debut in the main team in 2018. France, along with the Netherlands, Austria and Poland, are in Group D at Euro 2024.
