Ukrainian midfielder of Belgian "Westerlo" Serhiy Sidorchuk spoke about the peculiarities of the Belgian championship, and also shared his emotions in connection with the fact that he recently led his team to the football field as its captain for the first time.
- "Westerlo is a great club. I think it was the perfect choice when leaving Dynamo. Life here is great. I live in Tervuren, 45 minutes away from Westerlo. My children go to an international school in Leuven.
The Belgian championship is not easy at all. The pace and intensity is high, with lots of young players pushing you. (laughs). For an age of thirty something it's not easy, it's hard work. But I don't want to be worse than the youngsters. Although, of course, in the beginning it took me some time to get used to the intensity, which is higher here than in Ukrainian competitions.
Trusting me with the captain's armband recently? It was an incredible surprise. I couldn't even imagine that I would be given such an honour. I see it as a big step and a big challenge. It gives me great confidence, but also great responsibility to the team and fans," GVA quoted Sidorchuk as saying.
Настільки "великий", що багато хто тут про нього вперше взнав, коли туди перейшов Сидорчук
НО!
Плох тот игрок, который не считает свой клуб (за который он выступает) великим )))
