We conceded the ball, then had the advantage and scored in reply. In the second half, we also had the advantage, but did not convert our chances, unlike our opponent.
- Were there any serious mistakes in defence?
- When we concede, there are always questions about how we position ourselves in the penalty area, how we control the players. Lack of concentration in the penalty area led to conceded goals.
- Ponomarenko scored a goal today, but you replaced him in the second half. Perhaps Matvii was not enough to create chances at the end of the match?
- It's not about that, it's about our organisation of the game, how we take our chances, how we prepare for losing the ball. These components did not allow us to win today.
- Dynamo was leading in the score. What went wrong next?
- As I said, we didn't concentrate enough in our penalty area, we didn't analyse the players and conceded goals.
- Was it possible that you believed in victory too early?
- No, not at all. As you saw, in the episode when we conceded the first goal, the opponent played very aggressively in our area and eventually converted their chances.
- The next round match will be key. Will a defeat in this match be an additional catalyst before the clash with Shakhtar?
- In any case, we still have three more rounds. The next game is against Shakhtar. I can't say that it will be a match for first place, as there are two more rounds after that, but it will be the moment of truth that will answer the question of who is better - us or the Shakhtarians.
