In a thrilling Premier League match at Anfield, Liverpool defeated Tottenham 4-2. Mohamed Salah scored the opening goal in the 16th minute and Tottenham tried to fight back but were yellow carded as P.M. Sarr and M. van de Ven were cautioned in the first half. Just before the break, Liverpool doubled their lead: in the 45th minute Andrew Robertson struck the goal. In the second half, Liverpool further increased their lead: Cody Gakpo scored in the 50th minute and Harvey Elliott added another goal in the 59th minute.
Tottenham tried to fight back and Richarlison scored in the 72nd minute, giving them hope. However, Liverpool were quick to respond as Son Heung-Min scored in the 77th minute to bring the score to 4-2. Despite Tottenham's late surge, Liverpool held on for the win. The match saw a number of substitutions for both teams: D. Kulusevski, Richarlison and Emerson Royal came on for Tottenham, while Liverpool's J. Gomez, S. Baychurch, S. Gomez and S. Gomez came on for Liverpool. Gomez, S. Bajcetich and D. Nunez.
