Vitalii Buyalskyi: "In the first half, we did not know how our opponents would play"

Dynamo Kyiv captain Vitaliy Buyalsky commented on his team's 5-0 victory over Kolos Kovaliv in yesterday's match of the 27th round of the Ukrainian championship.

Vitaly Buyalsky

- In the first half, we didn't know how our opponents would play because they had a new coach. Somewhere in the first half we didn't adjust, the opponents managed to get out of defence, and we didn't always manage to cover them. After the first half, we changed our tactics.

- Comment on the episode when Yarmolenko gave you a header, but you decided not to shoot, but to pass it to Shaparenko...

- In my opinion, Kolya Shaparenko was in a better position, right in front of the goal, and I wanted to pass to his leg so that he could strike with one touch. But he had already run, and I couldn't pass to him accurately. Since it didn't work out, it meant that the decision was wrong.

- When you scored, it was difficult to immediately notice whether it was you or Nazar Voloshyn who struck the shot...

- While he was swinging, I had already scored. While he was thinking, I had already scored. In fact, I told him I was going to hit him, and he left the ball.

- Are you mentally ready for the match against Shakhtar?

- The game has just finished. We still have training sessions ahead, theoretical sessions, where we will review today's game and prepare for the match against Shakhtar.

- It seemed that today the fans created the warmest atmosphere in the stands...

- Of course, it is very pleasant to play in the presence of the fans. We are very grateful and try not to let them down on the pitch. In addition, they came to the match today on such a holiday when they would probably like to be at home with their parents and children. For this, we are doubly grateful to them.
