The story with the disqualification of Dynamo Kyiv defender Oleksandr Tymchyk has a mystery.
Recall, we have already reported that at the end of last week the UAF CDC made a decision on the disciplinary punishment of the player for his direct red card in the match of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship with Dnipro-1 (2:1) and disqualified the Dynamo player for two matches, and for one more game - conditionally.
However, as Dynamo.kiev.ua learnt, a harsher verdict could have been handed down for Tymchyk. Initially, some members of the UAF CDC insisted that the footballer deserved a three-match suspension. Two circumstances saved the Dynamo defender from such a punishment.
Firstly, the majority of the committee members were in favour of limiting themselves to a two-match disqualification, but awarding the defender one more match on probation. And, secondly, the head of the current CDC Vitaly Naum adheres to the principle that a player must play. This can explain the fact that in recent years, players are usually given a "suspended" part of the punishment for a red card.
We shall remind you that Tymchyk has already served the prescribed suspension from football, having missed the matches with Veres and Kolos, and now he can play for Dynamo in Saturday's game of the Ukrainian championship with Shakhtar.
