Maksimov explained why he said he would leave Dnipro 1 if his team did not beat Kryvbas

After yesterday's match of the 27th round of the Ukrainian championship between Dnipro Dnipro-1 and Kryvorizh Kryvbas (1:0), the head coach of the home team Yuriy Maksimov explained the purpose for which he made a statement the day before, in which he promised to leave his post if his team could not get a victory in the mentioned match.

"Every coach works for the result, and if there is no result, we need to solve something. Yes, I told the guys these words to spur them on a bit. A big thank you to them. They know how to play, but we made a lot of gifts to our opponents in this championship, somewhere in the last minutes we didn`t last. This was the biggest headache for us.

But the game with Kryvbas, I think, was a draw. This is in my opinion," the official website of Dnipro-1 quoted Maksimov as saying.
