The UAF Referees Committee has announced the referee appointments for the matches of the 28th round of the Ukrainian championship, which will be held next weekend.
The central match of the round, in which Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv will play in Lviv, will be refereed by Oleksiy Derevinskiy from Khmelnytskyi. This season, this referee has already worked at eight matches of the Ukrainian championship, and at one match of the Ukrainian Cup. In addition, Khmelnytskyi has been assigned to international meetings of the current season: three matches in the Conference League, one in the UEFA Youth League, as well as four matches of the qualifying cycle of Euro 2024 (U-17).
At the same time, Derevinsky has already officiated a Dynamo match once this season: a month ago this referee worked at the match of the 24th round of the Ukrainian championship Oleksandriya vs Dynamo (0:1), in which he showed four yellow cards and also suspended (for a repeated warning) Kyiv midfielder Nazar Voloshyn.
We would like to add that Semyon Shlonchak (Cherkasy) and Oleksiy Mironov (Poltava) will be the assistant referees in the match between Oleksandriya and Dynamo. The fourth referee is Oleksandr Afanasiev (Kharkiv).
Also, the upcoming match will feature the VAR video assistant refereeing system headed by Denys Shurman from Kyiv region, who, by the way, was the chief referee of Dynamo's last match against Kolos (5-0) in the 27th round of the UPL.
We would like to remind you that the match between Shakhtar and Dynamo will take place this Saturday, 11 May, in Lviv at the Arena Lviv stadium. Kick-off is at 18:00.
