Former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has named France as the favourite for the 2024 European Championships in Germany and assessed Italy's prospects.
"France is the absolute favourite. Italy is betting on a good game," Buffon was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.
It will be recalled that Italy is the current winner of the European Championship. In the final of Euro 2020, the Italians beat England in a penalty shootout.
