At the press conference dedicated to the Ukrainian Cup final, in which Poltava-based Vorskla and Shakhtar Donetsk will play today, the Pitmen's head coach Marino Pusic was asked about the prospects of surpassing the Bilo-Syni in terms of the number of trophies won.
- If you win the final, Shakhtar will surpass Dynamo in terms of the number of trophies won since Ukraine's independence. Do you motivate your players with this and are they aware of it at all?
- It is a good thing, but not motivation in itself. Motivation is the main thing when you play in the final, and it consists of trying to win. And if we achieve that, if it means we get more trophies than the other club, then that will be nice for people who are interested. But to be honest, it doesn't bother me. I'm focused on winning games, winning trophies for our club and making our fans happy. So it's one of the details, but it's not that important to me.
