Former Vorskla midfielder and Serbia international Jovan Markoski told us what he remembers about his time in the Ukrainian league.
Jovan Markoski- "I remember our victory in the Cup and the crazy atmosphere at the stadium in Dnipro from the fans from Poltava. And the game itself. I can't say that it was very good, because we all know what kind of team Shakhtar had at that time and what kind of players they had. But despite everything, we did not give up. Each of us gave everything to win.
I also remember the fact that I spent the biggest period of my playing career in Ukraine. My wife is from Poltava, and my second son is half Ukrainian and half Serbian. I can say that the time I spent at Vorskla was the best of my career. Our team had friendly relations between the players, a good attitude of people both at the club and in Poltava in general. So my memories are not only related to football. Perhaps the time spent in Poltava was the best period in my life," said Jovan.
