Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco and Jesus Navas have agreed to extend the player's contract.
According to the club's press service, the Andalusian legend has signed a new contract that will run until 31 December 2024. After that, Navas will continue to work for the organisation.
"From now on, I am offering him a lifetime contract so that he can play here as long as he wants and then work here in any position because he deserves to be at Sevilla for as long as he wants. I hope that Jesus stays because he deserves it and Sevilla will give him everything he wants at this stage of his career," the president assured.
"I didn't hesitate for a second to accept the offer. Yes, I want to retire at Nervion. I want to continue playing for my Sevilla.
I have always dreamed of finishing my playing career as a Sevilla player, and one more thing: I will not receive a salary for the next few months, as agreed with the president. This is my decision and I have informed the fans, who know all the details," said the 38-year-old.
