On the night of 19 May, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) fought for the title of absolute world champion in the super-heavyweight division against British boxer Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
Our countryman had another brilliant fight and, having defeated his opponent on points by a split decision of the judges, united the championship belts. Another glorious victory for Ukrainian sport! It's nice to know that Oleksandr is a long-time fan of Dynamo Kyiv, so along with millions of Ukrainians, the Dynamo team watched the championship match with special trepidation.
