Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been named the best coach of the month in the Italian league.
Under the 66-year-old's leadership, the "goddess" played three matches in May, in which she achieved the maximum result. The matches against Salernitana (2:1), Roma (2:1) and Lecce (2:0) ended in victory.
After 36 matches played, Atalanta is fifth in Serie A with 66 points. Also in May, Gasperini won his first title in his coaching career, winning the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen (3-0).
