Karpaty head coach Myron Markevych commented on his team's 1-2 defeat of Ingulets in the final round of the First League match.
"Firstly, I congratulate Ingulets on the victory. They wanted it more and deserved it. It was after the home game with Ingulets that we started to feel feverish. They are a more experienced team, consisting of players who have played in the UPL. Our team was assembled in a hurry. In principle, we have fulfilled the task. But we understand that to play in the Premier League, we need to qualitatively change the squad. The existing team will not be able to reach this level. I wish Ingulets success. If they strengthen with 2-3 players, they will not be lost in the elite.
What percentage of the players do Karpaty need to replace? We have to analyse everything well. But you don't need to be a great expert to conclude that 60 per cent are not good enough... The Premier League has different speeds, a different level of struggle. Today's game proved it," Markevych was quoted as saying by the Karpaty's official website.
Когда-то, он назвал балластом 40% игроков Днепра. В том же сезоне, тот же балласт, вышел в финал ЛЕ.
Надо быть скромнее и уважительнее к футболистам.
