Former Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk player Volodymyr Kovaluk commented on the upcoming changes to the rules of the VAR.
- This change will make football fairer, and it will be a blow to corruption. If a coach sees that his team's goal was scored in violation of the rules, he, not the video assistants in the booth, will inform the chief referee. And it will be right. In addition, we will have fewer complaints about the referees. As a matter of fact, coaches will be given the right to correct the referees' mistakes during the match. And if the coach does not ask for a video replay, then after the game he will not have the moral right to make claims against the referee because he agreed with his decision during the game," the expert said.
