Atalanta midfielder Marten de Roon has announced that he will not be able to help the Netherlands national team at Euro 2024.
"This week I lost the Italian Cup, I couldn't play in the final, I couldn't win the Europa League. In the previous state of euphoria, I spent a lot of time with the medical staff: it turned out that I can't play at the Euros," Marten wrote on his Instagram.
Euro 2024 starts on 14 June, and the Netherlands will face France, Poland and Austria in the group stage.
