Former Niva Ternopil footballer Roman Soroka was killed in the war with Russia. This was reported by the club's official telegram channel.
"Former Niva player Roman Soroka was killed in the battles for Ukraine. The sad news of the death of the defender of Ukraine was reported by his son Stepan. Roman was only 46 years old.
The team of football club Niva expresses its condolences to Roman's family and friends. May he rest in peace," the statement reads.
