Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic commented on the outcome of the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Edin Terzic"We showed a great game and I think we deserved more than a 0-2 defeat. From the first second we showed the whole world that we are not here to just play in the final, but to win it. We did a lot of things right, but Madrid showed composure at the right moment, which is exactly what we lacked today.
We played a fantastic match and were close to taking the lead. But then the game changed. "Real Madrid showed why they are the most titled club in this tournament. We had good chances in the first half, as Real Madrid did in the second half, but we didn't capitalise on them.
After the game there is always the question of what we could have done differently. I think we did a lot of things right, but then the standard changed the course of the match. We need to learn a lesson from that. We played well, we counterattacked dangerously. But we did not score. That's what decided the outcome of the match today," Terzic was quoted by the UEFA official website.
