A well-known Ukrainian coach, former coach of Tavria, Sevastopol Sergiy Puchkov analyzed the friendly match between Germany and Ukraine (0:0), which took place last Monday in Nuremberg.
- On the one hand, the result 0-0 seems to be good, because we didn't lose. But, on the other hand, of course, I wouldn't want the game to turn out like that. The advantage of the Germans was too big. At the same time we should mention Trubin, who played very well. In general, I would like to see productive actions of our players. If we had scored in the first moment at the beginning of the game, when Mudryk ran away from the center of the field - and everything could have turned out differently. The opportunity was good.
Yaremchuk also threatened the goal, but unsuccessfully. In the second half, the same Mudryk broke through the left flank to the front line and tried to shoot to his partner, but Neuer blocked the ball. In general, the match with the Germans was a bit tough. But nothing - we fought back, showed fighting qualities. We did not concede and did not suffer a defeat, and this will be a plus in the minds of the players.
- Watching the match with the Germans, everyone had the opinion that Sergei Rebrov modeled the game in defense.
- He did. He put five defenders playing from the very beginning of the first half. Perhaps, the coach was trying to see what would come out of it. It's hard to say. We will see the lineup in the next match with the Poles, then it will be clear what and how.
